This might seem an odd question but is there a way to get hens to be broody..... as I haven't had any of my own hens become broody in the last two years I get a lot of eggs but as of yet I haven't had any go broody and I would love to have a mum running around with some chicks
anyway.....all help welcome 😺

Are you collecting all the eggs every day?
Putting several fake eggs into a nest can sometimes get girls in the mood to set.
What breeds do you have? Some are broodier than others.
I have a system where I always have at least five eggs in the nest at one time then I take to older ones out every night and leave the new ones there
as to what breeds I have 3 RIR crosses and lots of other breeds like a white leghorn and bluebell and a bright yellow one that I don't know the breed of

Some breeds and some lines of some breeds tend to go broody mire than others. In general the more a breed has been bread for production the lower the chances of the broody hormones kicking in. As mentioned eggs left in a nest can be a factor, but if their hormones aren't heading that way already it won't make a difference.
