I read the operating instructions and removing the plugs is only mentioned if there is condensation on the cover. This is my first incubating attempt so of course I'm spending a lot of my spare time reading posts on this site for advice. I read a post about air and vents. Should I take out all the plugs / some plugs / one plug? It has a fan, so air is circulating. Please let me know what you do if you have this model incubator.

It seems the rest of my spare time is spent checking the 2 thermometers, 2 hygrometer / thermometers and 1 hygrometer scattered around the 8 eggs I'm incubating. Temp and humidity seem fine. This is day 8. I candled a few at day 7 and saw veins. I've finally come to terms with the various thermometer readings and now I'm worried about fresh air.

I am testing my Brower Top Hatch with quail eggs now. I have 3 other type bators. If you can keep the temp and humidity steady I'd have 2 plugs in and 2 out, eggs need fresh air. Also depends on number of eggs and incubation stage, the more eggs and embrios growing larger need more air, and gasses exchange.

Air holes in Brower are relatively large comparing to other similar size bators, so 2 open are sufficient I believe.

You,ve done your homework, keeping control with 2 therms and 2 hygros you'll do fine.

Thanks pascopol. That makes me feel better. Now I can keep reading incubating posts so I can find something else to worry about.
