My tiny rural county doesn't have the best Web presence. I'll probably go down there and ask, but maybe someone here knows.
I know I can at least have *some* chickens, but not how many.
I meet the state acreage requirements (10) and I found the building permit application does not require a permit for livestock shelter with no foundation less than 120 square feet, including chicken coops. I can also build a fence with no permit. I am also zoned farm, albeit my house was built on acreage that used to be farm land and it was not zoned differently when sold.
Logic dictates then, that my birds are fine. I can not find any regulation on quantity however. I'd like to convert my land to a for profit farm.
Does anyone know?
