Brown egg layer and white egg?

I have 6 plymouth rock hens(3 barred, 3 white). They have been laying since January, light to medium brown eggs. Today I got one that is off white. Is that normal? Is it a symptom of anything? Maybe a dietary problem or something?

Very frequently towards the end of an egg laying cycle the color of a hen's egg lightens. Once they take a break/molt the color of the egg once again deepens. She may be getting ready to take a break or simply applied a little less 'paint' to that egg.

My BPRs egg color (especially one of them) lightened a lot over the past year....I have heard that lots of sunlight and lots of heat will lighten the pigment available for the hen to coat the egg. (the 'bloom') -- My BPRs have so much heat and so much sunlight that their little feathers bleach to brown from their normal black.... Then over the winter (even with out a visible molt) they return to their normal color.. Like a human who's hair gets bleached by the sun. Strange isn't it?
