Ok, someone is slipping me a mickey! Every day now my brown and colored egg layers are laying one white egg = of course I have no clue who is doing it! Does this happen normally or is it a deficiency problem? I'm such a newbie!

What breed chickens? Some brown layers lay a very pale brown egg almost and light brown/pinksy color.

It's probably one of your colored egg layer. I have two true Ameraucanas who are laying the palest blue eggs--when you first see it--You think it is white.. BUT it really is blue when you compare it to white..

Nope this is really white - I've looked at them in all kinds of light, even checked it against those nasty store bought eggs - it's white! I do get some pale tan ones, mostly from my Yokos or my buff mottled houdan but they lay smaller eggs Maybe someone is sneaking into the coop???
