Brown eggs - day 4 pictures

Hi, would you expect to see more than this on day 4 of incubation with a brown shelled hen egg? I’m just not used to brown eggs.

(These eggs are probably not fertile but I want to be sure

The earliest I check an egg for veins is 7 days but mostly wait until day 10 when there is not doubt whether it is fertile.

I’d just wait a few days to be sure! You can tell at this stage in some eggs but it takes practice.

I don’t even bother candling before day 7 for lighter eggs and day 10 for dark eggs.
