I currently have 4 adult hens hatched July of last year (and five babies hatched 2 months ago).
This question concerns one of the laying hens, a Black Australorp.
I was spending some time with the chickens today when i noticed her earlobe had large, light brown spots on it (the base color is red). I looked at the other hens for reference, and they all have solid, bright red earlobes.
I am honestly not sure if this is something she has always had.
Externally, she looks healthy and lays almost daily.
Is this linked to a disease in any way? I looked it up and found squat.
