My thermometer read -18 when I woke up this morning. Now it says -8. Woo Hoo It's a heat wave lol

ETA: My ducks are in a heated coop with my chickens. I'm sure they are fine.

It was -1 here this morning. Frankly, to me, they don't seem to even notice. They aren't very concerned by the cold, at any rate -- they don't seem to huddle or shiver or hold their feet up. This morning, the boys were mostly concerned with chasing the girls, and the girls were mostly concerned with getting away from the boys. Then I brought them their bucket of fresh warm water, and that was the big attraction, just like every other morning.

I will be glad when spring comes. They'll get their pool back, and I won't have to haul water from inside the house.

I have quit looking at the temps.... Way too many negative numbers for me

I heard rumor of -teens with a windchill of -30's Yesterday I could believe it! At night it has been getting so super cold I am so READY FOR SPRING! I also heard mention of getting to 40 one of these days... Even though I am nervous about the melt -We have a TON of snow and I really don't want to be paddling- I am ready for some above freezing temps!

Stay warm everyone!
