Help this baby hatched yesterday and today when I went to get them out their beak looked like this what do I do?

Could they have been burned on the heating element? some antibiotic ointment should help with healing.

The baby had not yet been in the brooder yet because I wait til they are sort dry because I don’t want to mess up the other eggs I included the picture just incase there was another reason

hmm i’m not sure seems like their setup is perfectly safe, maybe he scraped it on the egg or something. monitor him for any changes but i don’t think you should worry
