Has anyone tried the nipple waterer in the 5 gallon bucket, for watering their ducks? If so, did you have to "teach" them to use them, or did they figure it out themselves. Currently I just have a big black outdoor pond setup for both swimming and watering, but thought I'd try this in an attempt to give them some more "fresh" water instead of drinking their own bath water! (Even though I drain and refill the pond every other day).

Experience?

Thanks!

Actually YES! I have a bucket in the corner of their run with nipples on it. I didn't put it in their for them, but it just was left over from the chickens. The one, smaller duck took right to it simply because the height was perfect. I don't know about my larger, taller duck since he was simply too tall for it. But Sugar likes to drink from the chicken nipples and does it all the time.
