Hi all,
I would appreciate some help in finding the value of my incubator. What I have is a Buckeye built in 1953. It is a setter I believe it is called and it holds 24,000 eggs. Big. This has not been put together for quite some time and I need to haul it out to get exact measurements. I believe it is somewhere around 10'x10' or 10'x12' and made from fir or redwood. It has a very pretty finish which looks like a possible redwood stain. There are 3 doors across the front and they have plated steel latches / hardware. This whole unit is in very good shape and I have most all the screws, bolts, hardware, etc.
So, this is a bit big for the amount of eggs I need for my breakfast anymore so are there any ideas on value from you guys or any other suggestions on who or where I could check.
All right everybody, I thank you all in advance.
I appreciate the help,
Don

First of all, I'd like to welcome you to BYC. I think that if you post this on the "incubating eggs" section you may get an answer to your question. Go to index on the blue bar near the top and look for the incubating section. Good luck!

Did you ever find information on your Buckeye? I too am looking to research an old Buckeye, not as big as yours but still really big!!! If so can you point me in that direction!!! Thanks.

Maybe BYC could come up with 'antiques" forum to list treasures like yours.
