Would they have sex linked babies? I thought I read somewhere that the boys would be dark, but maybe I got that backward...
Here's one:

And while I have you here... lol. I have a mystery chick I got from the same dude. It was much bluer when I picked it out 2 days ago and I thought I was grabbing from the lavender orpingtons that he had (I did get one actual LO, but they look totally different now), but then I noticed it had Brahama feathered legs and it looks like EEer puffy cheeks. He had has birds pretty well separated, but I'm sure anything is possible - and he dis also have "Ameraucanas". Do you think this is an EE/Brahama cross? You can't see it here but the legs are feathered.

Here is an updated picture of the white/grey chick - Do you think it's the male version of this cross? It looks like it's feathering in how you described.

Often times it does not show itself until the cockerel starts maturing, and it likely will show as a brassy cast to saddle and hackle feathers, sometimes color on the shoulder.

Yes it would be the male. Strangely though I haven't been seeing any buff feathers on my males from this cross. Guess I will just have to wait and see.

Chris did you make this cross to improve hackle and saddle striping in the buffs males?
I'm not trying to say your birds lack in this area, IMO looking at most buff LF males they don't come close to the light LF or light & buff bantams hackle and saddle striping.
There are exceptions but most of the LF buff males I've seen need work in this area

Thanks
Tom
