My main roo, Versace, is a heritage Splash Orpington and I cross him over my one Hatchery Buff Orpington.


Buffy and Versace:

So far this combo has only produced cockerels - they have a blue feather base/fluff with a golden buff/red outer feather (I have no idea if there is an actual color pattern for this?):

First cockerel - the red/buff with blue. The other cockerel is a Versace/Delaware cross

I crossed my standard Splash Cochin rooster with a standard Buff Orpington hen, and got this result:

The color/pattern seems very similar to the first rooster in your pictures (cockeral #1 with the buff/blue), except for the feathered feet/legs (since you crossed a Buff Orp with a Splash Orpington, rather than how I crossed a Buff Orp with a Splash Cochin instead).

Here is a neat Blue/Buff pullet. She has a pattern gene and will throw Buff color evenly in her offspring.

This is Sunny at 17 weeks, he's a Buff Orp cross but not sure what the cross is. He's now 8 mos. Guess I should get a more recent picture,he's filled out quite a bit since this one.
