Is anyone else working on a Buff Dorking project?

We had a few extra Buff Orpington hens so we tossed them into the Red Dorking breeding pen. The Dorkings lay a white egg and Orpingtons a brown. So we know which are pure and which are crosses.

Here are our Red Dorkings. They are the Roger Tice line, an old exhibition line out of Oklahoma. This line won big at the 2014 Ohio National.the Buff Dorking project are a F1 with this Red Dorking male and our Buff Orpington hens. The offspring so far are all buff colored with 5 toes. None are mature enough to tell type. Thus why they are still called a project. But we great hope in what has hatched so far here. Fertility is really good.

Below are some of our Buff Orpingtons.

I will post photos of the project chicks when I get them downloaded. Will also post update photos as they grow.
