BUFF Leggerns?

I've never heard of Buff Leghorns. They sound pretty!

I have one bantam buff leghorn girl. Can't tell ya about her laying ability, 'cause she's in a mixed laying flock. But she's a pretty little girl.

Ignore the dropped tail, I think she was sleepy that day!

they are excellent layers, averaging fewer eggs than normal white leghorn bantams but still very good layers. The ones that are on the feathersite bantam page are mine...they have been gone for a long time now, but they were some of my favorite birds. They lived in doghouse with run attachement, one of my first attempts at chicken tractors, back when I was in 4-H.

Birch Run Farm,
You didn't say if you were looking for Show quality or commercial stock. If you are looking for real quality then you want to contact Danne Honour in upper New York probably not too far from you. He is really one of the premier breeders of buff Leghorns and has written a book on breeding Buff Leghorns which was available free for downloading somewhere. 3 part book and any one that is serious about raising any buff colored chickens this would definately be a necessity in your progress of raising quality colored buff chickens. I haven't seen him post here but he does post where the show breeders post on another site.
