My buff oprington has been a very lovely chicken. Recently, she has been falling asleep very quickly and in the day. She seems to have lost alot of energy and moved alot less. Almost everytime I go down, I see her sleeping. She is not with the other 3 chicken friends and is just alone in the corner all puffed up. However, she is still eating. I'm very worried about her and I want to know how I can help her. I fed her some apple cider water with a ratio of 1 apple cider : 150 water. Also, her tail is drooped down recently :((( I don't know what to do and I don't know how I can help her. The skin in her head is also visually blackish. I'm not sure if it's only dirt covering her head or what.

Can you post a picture that includes her head and comb? What is your location and recent nighttime temperatures? What do her poops look like? At her age, I would treat her with Corid-amprollium in case of coccidiosis which can be common. Corid dosage is 2 tsp of Corid liquid or 1.5 tsp of the Corid powder per gallon of water for 5-7 days. Coxoid is the brand in some countries outside of the US.,

What are her poops like? Is her butt dirty? Have you checked for lice/mites?
A picture would be good also.

Her poop is kind of wet like diarrhea and brownish. Her butt doesn't look dirty and I haven't checked for lice or mites. Hope the picture helps!

I live in San Francisco so the nighttime temperatures are about 7 degrees celcius year round. Her poop is wet and I have noticed that she has pooped less or like less poop in each.

I would get some Corid right away from a feed store tonight if possible, to start treatment for possible coccidiosis. Her comb looks very pale. Make sure that she doesn’t have any lice or mites. Besides adding Corid to the water give her a couple of drops of the undiluted Corid orally to jumpstart treatment. Get her drinking.

I'm not able to get it tonight but I'll get it tommorow. Hopefully she will hang on:(

All great advice.

Scrambled egg is also a nice high protein snack. I also like to give anyone who looks off some Nutri-drench (a good, strong, poultry vitamin).

If you can get her to drink some fluids tonight, that would be good. A little plain yogurt or some buttermilk might help.
I'll give her some plain yogurt today. Shoud the yogurt be watery or thick?
