Hi! We noticed some build up on our buff orpington hen. We are concerned something might be wrong, though she is still eating/drinking/acting the same and seems healthy. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Any advice? Thanks in advance for help and guidance.

Really fluffy birds tend to catch poop and dust, especially if they had diarrhea for a day, like from vegetables or fruit. You just have to cut it off with some sharp scissors, I had to do it last night, not fun but it needs done

That is helpful - thank you! Would you suggest one person holding the chicken while the other cuts off the build up? And do you clean it with anything afterwards?
