Right- that chicken looks like it has a red Mohawk.
Yes. mine is Getting red especially on the wattle area. However I was thinking that the adult Orpington hens have combs so maybe that not such a big deal. I really don’t know.

Hens don’t get red that early or develop big wattles early. They stay pale yellow ish until they start laying usually. Yours I would say is a definite boy with that color as well as how massive that comb is so young.

Here's some updated pics of my Leslie. I feel like her body looks very hen-like but that comb and wattles are definitely reddening up. She's 6 1/2 weeks now. @Bigsonstinypets how is yours looking?
