I have a 2/3 yr old Buff Orpington that just started neck jerking.

She ate normally today.
Sunbathed in the run.
Laid an egg yesterday.
Normal poop tonight.
Squishy very large crop (gurgling)

Was checking the ring coop cam and noticed she was jerking her head on the perch to the point where she woke up and was standing up still neck jerking.

Ended up bringing her inside and then she stopped for a bit and had a normal poop.

Went to sleep again and then the neck jerking started sup again more violently.

Been going on the last two hours but seems to have gotten less violent and less frequent.

Need help because I’m in full panic mode.

I'm wondering if this a vitamin deficiency. What does she eat?

You might try giving her 1/2 a vitamin B complex tablet and a vitamin E tablet (both the kind made for humans) daily for a few weeks to see if it helps. I've read that feeding eggs along with the vitamin E helps absorption.

Every few days we’ve been adding vitamin supplements to their water due to weather and lack of sunlight. It’s possible it could be a vitamin deficiency issue but in the past I’ve never seen symptoms like this for that. More of a slow bobbing for girls I’ve seen with deficiencies. This seems sudden and really aggressive 😭

I don't know, tbh. Something neurological? Did she maybe eat something that was moldy or toxic?

How are her crop, appetite, poop, etc?

It looks more like crop adjusting to me, since you said she has a large, squishy crop that may be why. Normal poops are a good sign, but the crop should not be always full and squishy. I would keep her in for now, check her crop first thing in the morning before she's had anything to eat or drink, see how it feels then. If it's not empty then, there is a problem, they usually go to bed with food in their crop, and it should be digested by morning.
Along those lines, does she have access to grit all the time? Have you ever wormed her or had a fecal test done to check for internal parasites?

Did you ever find out what it was? Did vitamins help? I saw on night camera my Sussex doing the same thing last night briefly, just before bed one of my polish did it for a few minutes tonight and now I’m watching my faverolle do it alot.

When birds do it with a full crop, it's just adjusting the crop to help move things along and digest. Very common. It's normal for birds to go to roost at night with full crops, some really stuff themselves. As long as the crop is empty in the morning, then things are moving normally.
