Buff Orpington Roos?

I have two BO chicks and I suspect they are both Roos. They are two weeks of age and have a little tuft of tail feathers already. You can see it in the terrible picture I attached. Thoughts?

They are too young to sex. In Orpingtons females tend to feather out faster than males. Not always but enough. Adult tails don't come in until 3-5 months, so don't use those as indicators of sex.

Growing a tail quickly does not for a minute mean cockerel.
Actually, most of my BO birds that tail up quickly are female.
Wait a few more weeks, and then we'll be able to help with sex.

Many thanks. We bought these two out of a straight run at TSC. Being a pessimist I am assuming we got the 1 in 4 chance of having 2 Roos. They were bought to replace my favorite girl named Chai who we lost three weeks ago to a darn hawk.

Usually the boys will get pink combs by 5 weeks, and red by 8 weeks.
