About rooster: Peanut is a beautiful buff orpington but he is too rough on my Orpington and Easter Egger hens. We have three roosters for 28 hens. Half our flock free range themselves by flying out of the run but the other half is left with two roosters in their run all day. He stays in the run and is too rough on the hens. He is not aggressive to people but not eats out of your hand friendly. He would do well where the hens free range so they’re not a captive audience.
In the pictures, he’s the one in the front in the first picture and the one on the far left in the other two.
