I noticed in the morning that my 7 month old Buff Orpington, Buffy, had pinkish legs and feet (see pic). Her feet aren't typically like this so I think it's the cold. Outside temperatures were in the low forties last night (Fahrenheit). Could this simply be more blood flow going to her feet or is it an issue? Also, if it gets worse should I soak her feet in warm water?

It can be common when hens or roosters become fertile, they may have redness in their legs. It is probably normal since 40 degrees is not that cold.
Thank you for the reply! That does make sense. Miss Buffy isn't laying yet but my other Buff Orpington her age is. As far as I could tell, when my other hens started laying they did not get super red legs but maybe Buffy is different? Also, when do you think her legs will be normal colored again?
