Hey there! I'm new, and I have 3 BO hens and 2 BO roosters. I'm wondering if the hens will be good mothers, or will they bully the babies

Hi I've never kept pure BOs myself but my first chicks were BO cross layer hybrids. Both pullets from that (incubator) hatch grew up to be excellent broodies, sitting for over 28 days on their first sit. I had them hatching out duck eggs. They were also superb mothers and I can only assume this came through the BO rooster as the hybrids weren't good at all as broodies having the instinct bred out of them. Every bird is different though and you can get great sitters who are useless mothers and useless sitters that, if given chicks, are great mothers. You may want to watch you hens backs and sides with having an extra male. The roosters can cause quite a bit of damage if overactive on hens. Hope this helps.
