So my babies are one week old or so. I’ve noticed my three buff orpingtons are SOoo relaxed and gentle. They don’t mind being handled and dont run a million miles an hour at my hand when they see food. My isa browns are WAY more skiddish and also are the ones to fly across the brooder and start pecking my hand when I put some feed in it. They also panic when I handle them. 😩. They scare me a little 😩. How do I tame my isa’s so they don’t mind being handled? I really can’t get over the difference in behavior between the two breeds. Thanks!

Now one of my isa browns seems to be bullying some other chicks 😭. She got up real tall and pecked one of the buffs in the face and then when the buff ran she chased after her. 😕😢

Orpingtons are way more tame and relaxed as hens as well... it’s just in them. ISA browns are also not bred for temperament, just for production, and are often more skittish... not much you can do besides hand feeding them treats (meal worm, etc.) and spending lots of time with them...
