buff orpingtons.... pics?

Just wondering if anyone has any pictures of the buff orpingtons at different stages? we're waiting for our shipment (sometime this month) of 12 and have no idea what they will look like when they're little. We heard they were great layers and pretty friendly. The coop is finished and (i'll put pictures as soon as i can) so we're just waiting for the ladies! i'm very excited.

Thanks again to anyone that has picutures and any suggestions/ advice for this breed. I haven't seen a lot mentioned about them.

thank you for the pics! we have a 7 year old who isn't understanding just what they'll look like. this will be helpful. I've heard they're good layers. i'm hoping anyway. we've got some people looking forward to eggs.

I appreciate the pics. any advice etc to go along with them?
I liked the pics of the dark colored chicks as well. what breed are those.
No one mentions the BO's very much. are they not a popular breed?

I remember getting ours at about 14 weeks old. I was so intrigued by the irridescense of their feathers. On a sunny day they're just beautiful!

This is my first year with Buff Orpingtons and I LOVE them. I think they are probably one of the Softest chickens, and I just can't say enough great things about them. I will always have BO's now in my flock. I also love their large rounded shape and sweet sweet disposition. I have 7 from 3 different hatcheries and they are All sweet. So, I think that for a first time chicken owner they are an excellent breed to start with. They are also pretty smart. I nearly cried when the little girls had to move out of the laundry room and into the larger, cooler, separate from the house, chicken room(holding point before graduation to the coop). But when I visit them, they remember how to cuddle with me and I could sit out there with them for HOURS!!!! Then, when we take trips outside to free range, they all roost under my chair. I will post some pictures of them soon. I want to take updated photos of them when the weather clears and then I will post what I have from chick through current age(which is around 9 weeks).

These are our girls at 1 week (Buffy) and 2 weeks of age(Sahara), on their first outing outside. (red spot on the 2 weeker was identification mark from hatchery)You can see how fast they start to feather out.

again I thank you all for the pics! I heard they are great layers and friendly. We're getting them from a farm. The woman has offered to have them for a day or 2 to make sure they're okay and can eat and drink on their own and then they'll be coming to their new home! I think our run is a great size. We took the advice of someone on this site and painted the floor of the coop with glossy paint (after primer) so clean up will be easier. (Hope it works!) i'm looking forward to their arrival especially because its starting to warm up and they will be able to go outside for a little bit when we're home. I didn't think i'd be so excited to get chickens!
