Hello!
We're raising chickens for the first time here in Massachusetts. Our 6 Buff's are 4 weeks old now and getting quite rambunctious in the rubbermaid tub they're currently in. They're looking almost fully feathered. Looking for some advice regarding when to move them to the coop outside. Anyone on the North Shore have any insight?

oh I love Buff's!
I am not an expert by any means! but I do believe that at 4 weeks these little buggers should be given some more space. from what I have read, during the first week of life the temp should be kept at around 90 degrees F, and then decrease approximately 5 degrees every week after so right now they should be able to handle a temperature of about 70 degrees F. If you are able to put a light in the outside coop, personally I would move them. That way they start adjusting to the coop life early. Not sure what type of coop you have but even if you think its cold outside, but have a light, you could shut them in the coop itself.
Best of Luck!
