Mine was a devil bird. Sorry, but true. He took to ripping holes into the necks of all my girls until he was sure to draw blood. Needless to say, he's now in the freezer.

BUT my experience isn't the only one. I'm sure there are plenty of nice BO roos out there. I personally just haven't met one recently.

My lil roo is a very nice guy so far, all the lil younger chickies gravitate toward him and sleep w/him. My RIR lil roo is the bossier one and the Austrolorp lil roo is very active but not bossy. Mine are all young yet but the eldest are my BO chicks. Right now they are all communing in a grower coop and outside pen privileges during the day but closed up at night. I named my BO roo Brewster Rooster. I lucked out when I ordered 8 BO chicks by getting 1 roo

Mine have all have great personalities. I wouldn't call them lap birds as I just don't get to hold them very often. however if I pickt hem up they settle right down. The two roos I have been have never been aggresive, which is very important to me with two young boys here.
