buff silkie roo ?

My 2 buff silkies are now 3 months old. Within the past week, one of them has gotten black tips on the tail feathers. I searched and saw roosters with black tips so does that mean I could have a roo. Can hens have black tips too?

Alot of buff silkies get black in the tail, wings, and neck. Silkies are always hard to sex.

Many buff silkies, regardless of gender have black in the wings and tails--something breeders work very hard to get rid of.
