I have two drakes one buff and one blue Swedish. I have three hens of each breed also.

What would the offspring look like if they intermingled?

Looking mostly for pictures if you have the cross.

Buff drake x Blue Swedish hen is a fun one.
Buff ducks have color genes that are sex-linked to the Z chromosome, meaning if you cross a Buff male with a non-Buff female, the resulting offspring will look different at hatch based on their sex. Depending on the Blue genes of your Buff, you could get up to 6 color options; Black bibbed, Blue bibbed, and Splash bibbed for the males, & Chocolate bibbed, Lilac bibbed, and Lavender bibbed for the females.
The females will also have the Buff dilution, but I’m not quite sure what that would look like.

Blue Swedish drake x Buff hen is a little less fun, but still nice.
Not sex linked, so you would not be able to tell males from females visually until they’re older. Again, depending on the Blue genes of your Buffs, you could get up to 3 color options; Black bibbed, Blue bibbed, and Splash bibbed for the males and females.

You can find many photos of these colorations online! :) For reference, your Blue Swedes are “Blue bibbed.”

Well I was slightly curious to see their offspring before but now I’m REALLY excited about it!
