I accidently posted this in the wrong area..so I thought I would re-post here!

Hello! And I cannot spell mosquito very well! We seem to suddenly be infested with the darn things. We live in a very rural area and are in a woods that has a lot of dampness. My biggest problem is the coop and the fact that I am pregnant so I have to be careful. I have no idea why my coop has so many this year. Last year we did very well. I have about 13 Guineas and 27 various chickens. Any ideas?
I do have a hubby that can use harsher chemicals but what will not harm my birds?
Thanks so much!!!!

I suppose I would get rid or any standing water were they may be breeding or hatching that is. I know that sprinkling DE over poo will help control flies. Gee- I dunno, maybe someone one else has more ideas...

My hubby thinks that they used to have small zappers in their coops. But I thought I had read how that does not work very well...at this point though anything would be great.
My hubby was a chicken farmer growing up with huge barns. Maybe this will work.
