I'm very new to flower gardening, and I came outside around noon and looked at my Morning Glory, finding holes all over it, especially this one leaf...So I flipped the leaf over and looked at the bottom of it only to find these little red bugs all over it, and a couple black bugs.

I couldn't get a very good picture of the black ones, but there's one off on the side behind the red ones. I'm thinking the red ones might be a variety of lady bug..? I haven't seen lady bugs like this before, and I looked up pictures of baby lady bugs on the Internet and they didn't look like this, but people on another site are saying they're lady bugs... So I'm not sure, what do you think?

It looks like just some type of beetle.. But could it be eating my plants? Or is it a beneficial?
