building a coop

hello ya'll
i am fixen to build a coop,never done it before.
the building aspect of it is no problem. my concern is what i need inside,for the little darlings.i want 8 chickins, what type of furnishings will they require.
do i need 8 boxs, how big, do i need to provide a
perch for them. what type of floor, is screen to painful for there feet will 6x8 be big enough for 8
man i got a lot of questions,
can you enlighten me with knowledge

first, they need a roost. they do not need 8 boxes 2 will cover them but you could have 3, and i don't think screen is too painful because that's what my friend has!


ps yes that is big enough
