Well, I finished building this model about a year ago.
I made it extra large to fit 2 or 20 nesting box.
I also used 3 coats of that roof rubberized paint. Easy to wash down on the out side, because Mr. Krow loves to sleep on the roof.
I have 2 detachable vent for summer and winter. I added extra reinforcement to crawl in there if I have to. This is one of my smaller pen comparing to the others.

If ya look on the unpainted 2x4.
Those are detachable vents.

It's recommended to have 1 square foot of ventilation per adult, standard-size hen available 24/7/365.
