I have been working on converting a shed to a coop.. every time I’m excited to think about moving the chickens out, it’s something else..

It rained the other day and I found a leak. Fixed it. Today we had a decent rain storm and I went out to this.. 😭😭 it literally took me DAYS to build these boxes.. I’m not good at building.

How is it leaking in the side like this?! How do I fix it without pouring so much more money into it?? It’s obviously not dripping from the top. The boxes are soaked. It’s a galvanized shed. We put boards up around the whole inside for insulation. I’m so defeated.

Can you post some pictures of the outside of the shed in this area and that entire side?

You need to go out into the shed while it's raining hard.
Use a flashlight to look for water running inside the roof and/or walls.
You may need to remove the inner walls t find where the water is coming in.

Ditto Dat.

It’s dark right now but these pictures are exactly what it looks like. Inside posts are what we put boards up on. The other picture is what the outside looks like, and how it faces in my yard. The left side (when you look at the picture) is where the wet spot was. There is no trees or anything near or beside it. It faces an open yard. I circled the area I saw the water from the inside. There was no other wet spots on the wall except there.

We can wait until tomorrow :D

This is the outside. Inside appears to be completely dry now. No puddles or running water marks. No water puddles on the ground inside or outside. (There were no puddles inside yesterday during the rain)

How much pitch does the roof have? How old is the roof? Maybe the gaskets have broken down on the metal roofing screws and are allowing water penetration onto the rafters that flow down to the load bearing wall then down the wall.
