Building my first coop ever! ! Turning out pretty darn good if I don't say so myself. Only question I have right now is........
Since I have built with non pressure treated wood, what should I use in its place to keep water proof/sealant that's ok for the chickies

I also did not build with pressure treated wood. I have painted the outside with exterior paint and will be putting blackjack 57(?) I think it's called on the floor and a foot or so up the walls inside then adding some exterior paint inside also. I'm glad we aren't the only ones who didn't use pressure treated.

A good quality exterior paint on the outside will protect it. I also used Blackjack 57 Rubr-coat on my floor and up the walls about 12". The chickens don't eat it and can't scratch it, it's very durable. Do you have any pics?
