Bulb planting and chickens

Well, it is that time of year when I would like plant some daffodil bulbs. This year I would like a plant some near our new coop, but I am worried that my chickens will eat the flowers when they pop up next spring. Do chickens eat daffodils? How about tulips? Any suggestions would be great!

We had some daffodils planted in the area that we enclosed for their run. As soon as the green shoots come up, they will eat them. Once they get up some size (outside of the run, for example), they leave them alone.
