bulk feed in Phx area

Does anyone know where to get bulk feed in the Phoenix area? I am looking for something around .30 to .40 cents a pound. Thanks.

There are no feed mills in Arizona. You'd have to drive to California to find one. I tried...

If it's costing you more than 40 cents a pound to buy bags of chicken feed at the feed store there...I don't know that you're going to get any cheaper, unfortunately. Arizona has outrageous prices for feed, and it's worse if you live in a non-rural area.

Even when I am in Buckeye, I still bring feed over from San Diego 10 bags at a time.

Are you talking about small quantities? Mesa feed barn sells by the pound. It's on Broadway, near Mesa drive.
We just did a bulk order of organic feed with the permaculture guild. Next order will be around Feb. if you want in on it, come over to the AZ thread and we can get you hooked up with the right information. I can get good quality feed in San Diego for $17 for 50 lbs. That is with 22.5% protein. So that comes out to be $.34 per pound. So I would think if you are going to buy in bulk you should be able to get it for less than .40 lb at your feed store.

I like TRIPLE D feed in Avondale/Buckeye myself. Much better business than the feed store right on 85 in Buckeye.

We have a guy here that makes feed here, it is $130 for 500 pounds. I was just wondering if there was something similar somewhere else...
