i need help with a bully chick. it seems to be picking on all the other chicks. it is lunging at their eyes in particular. The group is only 3 days old. Should i confine the chick and for how long, or cull it out?

DO NOT cull it, baby chicks do all kinds of different things. It is still so young.

Is it to hot in the brooder? Is it drinking water and eating? Did you see it ? They say the brooder temp should be about 90 or so the first week. Take into account room temp and the type of container their in...plastic/glass, etc. and adjust light accordingly.
Also, is there plenty of space? They will peck if there isn't enough room to move around.

We went to a flea market and I bought 6 EE's....little did I know they must of been hatched in an incubator that day and brought to the flea market to be sold. They did not know how to eat or drink. I noticed on the second day one of the little ones just didn't get the hang of it, he also was pecking the others. So I had to teach him, and made sure he did it right. Now he's a happy chickie.

Hope this helps.

there is plenty of room, food and water. the temp is 95 and all the other chicks (25 in all) are behaving. im just worried about the other chicks eyes.
