Bumble foot delema

I have a rooster who decided to get bumblefoot and not tell me. Today I found him limping around with huge, swollen feet. The worst part is that I am leaving for 10 days tomorrow. I am going to do the treatment but the person who is taking care of my chickens is not willing to attend to him when he is separated. Is it ok if I leave him out with the other chickens or should I find someone else to take care of him while I am gone?

do surgery when u come back! u not read article band aid need be change ever few day if sitter not goin to take care of chicken then wait

Can you post pictures? I would be tempted to wait until I got back to do any surgery or treatments. Do you have any antibiotics that could be given orally in a treat by your chicken sitter?
