Bumble foot or something else?

Mid january, I saw one of my hen was lame on her right foot. Picked her up. She's had a small scab/caleous under the foot, so I treated for bumble foot.( we had some ice and snow the week before and she was standing on it quite often, as the other hens were kicking her out of the dry area).....So I did Epsom salt+ iodine baths, honey...No progress after about a week, so I started to scratch the scab. Didn't find much underneath, but didn't go deep neither..I used some vetrecyn, and medicated gauze to wrap her foot...I added some vit./electrolytes. After 2 weeks + of cleaning, wrapping, bathing: No progress, and she started to lay down more and more....

So I cut open a second time the scab deeper, cleaned with H2O2 and wrapped her again...Didn't find much neither expected a little bit of brownish blood. Kept cleaning and changing the gauze twice a day...A couple of days ago, she started to go downhill..Her right leg, is now so weak that she can't stand on it at all. She places it in front of her and lies on her hock. Her muscle is 1/3 of the size of the other one..It feels like she's becoming paralyzed on it....I started her on amoxicillin last week. My tablets are pretty old, but my equine vet told me I could use it . I've been trying to " stimulate her more as I don't know, if she has lost the ability of her leg, because not using it for over a month or if it is because of something else. I switched the vit./ electrolyte, with stronger vitamins + probiotics. I 've been putting some neosporin on it. The foot looks almost healed..but she doesn't want to put any weight on it and just can't hold the leg strong enough anyway....The increase of weakness came quite fast....

The other day, she had rolled on her side and could not get back up. She's getting tired very fast now and I can feel some fluids around her crop...Question is..Could I have damaged a nerve or joint? ( all the more I'm alone taking care of her, and need to twist the foot some when I clean it. Can it be marecks or something else? Is it the infection that keeps spreading??
I've got some penicillin G that I kept in my fridge but with a needle in it as I use it locally for skin issue on my horse..The fact I kept the needle on the top make me wonder, if I can still use it?? Can I switch from amoxicillin to penicillin to see if I've got a better result?

I took an appointment to my small animal vet on monday to euthanize her if not better. I don't think the vet would know anything about hen, but she's willing to euthanize her..However I would like to give it another try. She's only 4 YO...but it's been going on for 5 weeks now, and I don't see any progress...
Thank you!

Poor thing... as sorry as I am to say this, I would advocate euthanizing her... She's been through a lot and a complete recovery does not sound highly likely... Even if she where to recover, chickens don't usually live much more than 6-8 (particularly if they have been exposed to a trauma/illness such as that).

Though I have seen like things happen before, it is still tough!
Best wishes to you and the rest of the flock! :hugs
