Bumble foot

Looks like my duck has bumble foot. This was the best pic i could get by myself. I went ahead and soaked her in Epsom salt for about 10 minutes. I'm about to take my boys to their grandparents and wanted to know what i need to pick up to treat this. This is my first time. Thanks!

I personally like to use clear iodine - I use it on chicken bumbles, too, and it seems to work more effectively than triple antibiotic ointment (without pain reliever) or Vetericyn. Best of luck!

You're very welcome! It can take a while (with treatment) for a bumble to resolve, so be patient. Hope your girl is feeling better soon!

I've been soaking and wrapping her foot since Friday. Today I was able to get the scab off but i couldn't get the kernel out. I'm pretty sure i could see it. She now seems to have pockets of fluid in a couple spots on her foot. Again not the best picture but the pocket of fluid is above the bumble. Is it looking any better?

I use manuka honey on my ducks BF. I soak in Epsom salt baths and then apply the honey. I wrap with vet wrap and sports tape. Right before I lock them up for the night.

The honey is expensive but worth its weight in gold. It’s a great way to treat BF without doing the cutting method. I’ve heard people using PRID too but I haven’t used it . You can find that at Walmart.

Do i not need to wrap her foot all day? She currently is in our house in and out of a dog crate. She is not happy about being in the house but it keeps raining where I'm at and it's the only way i can keep it clean.

I would keep it wrapped.
