Bumblefoot Not Draining???

Hello y'all, I have a 5 year old barred Plymouth Rock who's had bumble foot (unfortunately) for about a year now. I finally worked up the courage to try and get it out today, only to find that it's not draining. I soaked her in warm water and attempted to pull out the kernel, but either I didn't get it all or something else because it's not coming out even after pressing on the abscess. Any advice?

@Eggcessive do you have any thoughts? I feel so bad seeing her in pain.

Sometimes you really need to squeeze. If it won’t come out, you may need to soak a few more days and try again. Is she limping or is the abscess bad? Do you have any pictures? Many people use sugar and Betadine in a paste and wrap the foot daily to draw out infection. I don’t fool with them anymore unless they are limping or the area is scabbed and has redness and swelling.
