Hi there, I live in Australia and in Australia we have bush turkeys. Bush turkeys are related to normal Turkeys. But there is a male that is breeding with our chickens. Is it possible to get a cross between a chicken and a bush turkey.

Thanks for your time.

No it wouldn't be possible. I also would worry for the safety of your hens. If a "Bush turkey" is anywhere near the size of a domesticated turkey, they will seriously injure or even kill your hens while trying to breed them.

Bush turkeys are chicken size

Just realized that. Being from the states, I'd never heard of a Bush turkey.

They would not successfully breed, no.

Brushturkey (aka bush turkey, but not actually a turkey) aren't genetically related enough to chickens to produce viable eggs, they can harass and injure hens though.
