BUTCHER BOYS: Originator, A. J. Street, Ind. Description: Black breasted, red, red eyes, yellow legs.

Does anyone know about this strain? Are they still around?
I'm curious because my dad lives on AJ Streets old farm (my dad bought it in 1966).
It could be a different AJ Street, but the one that lived here before my Dad raised gamecocks and shipped them around the world.
I'm interested in any info........thank you..........kirt

not sure if the Butcher Boys are still around, when asking be sure to mention that full name as there is a different line called Butchers which were developed (and still bred) by the Marsh family.

A J Street had Kearney Whitehackles, Shufflers, and he made up his Butcher boys out of those two families. This is my understanding from Mr. Joe Griggs 94yrs old of Blairsville, GA. I got Butcher boys from him in the early 1990's.
