Need some advice!
I have 10 cornish cross broilers that were supposed to go to butcher July 14th, which would make them 8 weeks. The place isn't taking chickens now for processing then, the only other dates they have are June 30th, or July 21st. The 21st puts them at 9 weeks and the 30th puts them at 6 weeks. These are my first meat birds so I have no idea what to do!! I can call one other place but otherwise everywhere else is booked up.

Limit their feed to maybe 10 hours per day, not longer. It helps keep them in better shape. Last year we had issues with the processing date too, and everyone survived!

Agree. Limit their feed a little bit. Allow them some more space to roam if possible (protected of course since CX don’t move very fast and get hot easily). Make sure their water is a distance from their feed bc that makes them get up and walk around.
