What gives, I thought it takes 24-26 hours for a single egg to develop and then she starts over.
Any experience with this? Thanks.
 
I assume you're talking about just the yolks? It's normal for their ovary to have yolks of all different sizes getting ready to ovulate. Once they ovulate it takes about 24 hours for the actual egg to form.
 
Thanks Kelly. There were also some more advanced than the yolk stage, one with shell starting to form and one ready to lay.
 
Just the little normal egg assembly line. Really kind of neat to see the eggs in various stages of development.
