Hi, I'm looking into getting meat chickens this spring and would like to be able to process them myself but I am a very hands on visual learner and would learn best by having an in person lesson on how to dispatch and process my birds myself. Does anyone feel like being a teacher or know of a lesson around Seattle?

Hi, welcome to the forum from Louisiana, glad you joined.

Try calling your county extension office and chat with them. Some offices are better than others but there is a realistic chance they will know of someone that can help.

Chat with people at your feed store. They might know someone or they might have a bulletin board where you can post a notice.

I could not find an active Washington thread in the "Where am I? Where are you!" section of this forum. You can try starting a new thread in that section with the location and what you want in the title, like you did in this thread. It's always good to chat with your neighbors.

If you want you can advertise in Craigslist. I don't personally like Craigslist that much but you may get lucky.

I don't do Facebook or anything like that but there might be a chicken group in your area. I have no idea how you would find it.

Along with the above options,
Search your favorite search engine for something like "pasture raised polutry seattle small family farm" and look through the results. I searched it and found a few places that you could reach out to that would probably welcome the help.
