butchering turkeys

I have a Question aboutbutchering a young turkey.
The turkey has messed up legs and can't hardly move this am so I want to butcher it but it is still on medicated feed will this matter ? It is on medicated chick starter.

On the package label under "active ingredients" it will give a withdrawal period for the medication in the feed. Depending on the kind of coccidiostat it is, it could be days to weeks. Either way, you'll need to get it on some non-medicated food if you want to eat it.

Well, if the medication is only amprolium, it doesn't have any withdrawal time. That is the only exception I know of.
