Hi again, Still no eggs. Now, though, I am seeing a symptom of something wrong. My large Australorp hen is dragging her butt. Also she's off her feed. The muscle back there opens and closes like she's trying to get something out. She came to me slick and healthy three months ago, laid lots of eggs for two weeks, then quit with the rest of them. I have a dirt floor coop. I am thinking of raking all hay out of there but I shouldn't really spray the ground with bleach or anything else, I imagine., These birds have been in there less than 1 year. Previously we had four birds that lived with no illnesses for four years. Then I wanted something different so I sold them and got a Barred, A Silkie, an Ausrtal. and a Buff roo. Now everythings gone haywire.
