Button quail hatching

I just hatched out my first button quail, from shipped eggs. So far three have hatched. I have one that is dual colored, one yellow, and one that's mostly yellow with a little gray on it's head and abdomen. I was wondering what colorings they will have as adults? Is it normal to have different colored chicks? I've had coturnix quail before, but most of them hatch out brown with only a few color deviations. Also any advice for button quail? I've done quite a bit of research, and read alot of the posts on here, but it's always better to hear from someone who has first hand experience. 😁

Looks like 1 tuxedo, 1 white, and 1 silver?
Congratulations!:jumpy:clap

Yeah, I agree with @007Sean about the mutations. How many eggs are there in total.
Do you have any quail questions in particular?
Thank you, I have 13 eggs in the incubator total, four have hatched so far. What kind of hatch rate should come from shipped button quail eggs? My incubator sucks, and the postal lady threw my eggs before I even got them, so I'm excited I even got this many. 😓 What kind of hatch rate can I expect in the future with a decent incubator, and my own eggs? is it normal to get this many mutations? My fourth that came out also looks like the first. What causes the mutations? I got them in a medium size box right now with a brooder, crushed unmedicated chick starter, and a small waterer with marbles in it. I'm a little scared of how small they actually are. Can I treat them like I do normal coturnix quail? What other kind of special treatment do they need? How do I make them as friendly as possible? I'm planning on spending as much time as possible with them.

I'm not great on the incubator hatch rates (because my hens hatch out their own chicks and I hardly use my incubator).

The mutations are caused by the parents genetics. I had a wildtype/silver pair who both had wildtype, silver and cinnamon genes. The female hatched out 3 silvers, 2 wildtypes and 2 cinnamons. Another pair I have, darth vader/cinnamon pearl, hatched out multiple clutches with colourings of golden pearl, cinnamon pearl and white winged pied. The mutations of the chicks depends on the parents. If you got a tuxedo, white and silver, the parents must have those genes.

For water, I use an upside down jar lid when they're that small. It's best not to move them to the brooder until they've dried off.

For taming them, spend as much time with them as physically possible. I hand raised a king quail chick who is super-tame (my profile pic), but I had to constantly spend time with her.

Thank you so much! I'll definitely be hand raising my chicks. The final count ended up being four chicks, two tuxedo, one white, and one silver. I love them already! One died in the shell, one quit early, and the rest didn't develop at all. I'm hoping that in my four I get at least one pair.
